Tumbalalaika Theatre is an original one woman story telling performance. Stories from Eastern Europe and villages around the world are shared.
Stories our grandmothers might have told.

A square of material is laid on the ground, a group gathers around, old scarves and bits of cloth are transformed to tell the tales.

About the Story Teller....
Jennifer Brawer's passion for legends, myths, and stories has fueled her desire to find a way to integrate her background in creative dramatics and theater with the telling of tales.

Tumbalalaika Theatre was conceived in order to share folk traditions from her own and others' cultures in the unique, intimate, and direct atmosphere of live story-telling theater.

Jennifer brings to her art more than 30 years of acting and teaching experience in the U.S. and
Europe. Her Theater pieces, workshop activities, and materials, can be presented in English, French, Spanish, Yiddish, and bi-lingual settings.

Tumbalalaika Theatre has been effectively presented interactively and in conjunction with creative
drama workshops in various community and educational settings.
